Meditation

Please join us to meditate (or learn to meditate) every first Sunday from 9 to 10 a.m. This will be a breath-awareness meditation with the purpose to gain insight about your thoughts and emotions as well as tolerance and acceptance of them. We will do two 20-minute meditation sessions with a break between. That way, you may leave after the first session if that's enough. (You're welcome to leave quietly at any time, of course.)  There will be guidance in breath awareness, and those who wish to engage in Christian contemplation will be provided with a list of scriptures upon which to focus. The atmosphere in our lovely wooden chapel is pleasant and inspiring, and meditating with friends is sweet.

The group is facilitated by Cynthia Gray, LPC, a Licensed Professional Counselor in GA and SC with certifications from the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy in Boston and the International Focusing Institute in Nyack, NY.
